Royal Guardians.
Founded in 1995, The Royal Guardians, Inc. is a parent booster and 501(c)(3) non-profit support organization dedicated to elevating the Royal Command & Guard Marching Band in Fishers, Indiana. Because the school district is only able to provide minimal financial support for extracurricular music activities, the boosters act as a vital bridge. They collect registration fees, coordinate major community fundraisers, and secure corporate sponsorships. These efforts directly cover the operational funding gaps required to run elite ensembles, including five daily concert bands, jazz bands, winter guard, winter percussion, and the flagship marching band.
Beyond financial bridging, the organization handles complex event planning and heavy physical logistics so that the band directors can focus entirely on musical instruction. The massive scale of the program is made possible by a structured network of parent-led volunteer committees. These dedicated teams manage everything from travel safety and chaperoning to constructing elaborate field props, altering uniforms, and fueling student performers through intensive band camps and regional competition days.
