Royal Invitational Volunteers

Want to see what happens behind the scenes of a band contest?

Want to meet other band parents and have some fun?

Helping with the Royal Invitational is a great way to accomplish both of these goals!

The September 9, 2017 Royal Invitational represents the 11th Royal Invitational held at Hamilton Southeastern High School.  This is a Mid-States Band Association sanctioned event and represents an important fundraiser for the RCG.   Bands like to perform at the Royal Invitational because it is a well-run event with great facilities and we need your help to maintain this reputation.

Over the coming weeks you will receive requests to sign up and work a single shift or help organize the event.  This is a fun event and the work is easy if we have enough volunteers.  Please come and join in the fun for a few hours.

At the present time we are looking for help to organize and/or chair the following activities for the event.

Directors Hospitality co-chair– the responsibilities are to help get food donations, oversee the set-up and maintenance of the food and space during the event and oversee clean up.  There will be volunteers during the entire event to help run hospitality.

Clean up chairperson:  oversee the cleanup at the end of the event.  The RCG students are required to stay and help clean up.  However, someone needs to oversee this operation.

Hall Monitor chairperson:  coordinate a group of volunteers to monitor the hallways during the invitational.

Trophies/Presentation coordinator: coordinate the purchase and presentation of trophies for the event.

Anyone interested in learning more about one of these roles or volunteering to chair or co-chair one of these positions please contact Ryan or Lindsey Goergen, Royal Invitational Chairs
