Indianapolis Colts Concession Fundraising: 2008-09

Every year, Hamilton Southeastern High School Bands and Fishers High School Bands partner with the Indianapolis Colts to provide an outstanding fundraising opportunity. During the 2008-09 season, we will be operating two concession booths at the new Lucas Oil Stadium. Each volunteer who staffs a booth earns approximately $70-$80 per event, with proceeds being credited directly to their student's band account. The total amount earned is based upon the combined sales of both booths.

Up front & behind-the-scenes help
From cashiers to food pred to stand managers, a variety of positions must be filled for each event. Stand managers and cashiers must be over the age of 21 and have a valid Indiana alcohol permit. Prep workers can be adults and students 16 or older. All student volunteers work under adult supervision. Currently, there are 10 Colts home games and six other events scheduled for this season. NFL playoff games will be announced at a later date. During the 2008-09 season we will staff Booth 528, which is a grill, and Booth 538, which will sell hot dogs. Adults who wish to participate in this fundraising opportunity must have a valid Indiana Volunteer Employee Permit issued by the Indiana Alcohol & Tobacco Commission. Permits are valid for two years and cost $15. Visit the ATC's website to learn more or complete a Type 801-Volunteer Permit application. On the Volunteer Employee Permit Application, the name and adderss of the permit premises should be listed as: Royal Guardians, P.O. Box 7180, Fishers, IN 46037-7180. You will be able to present your receipt as proof of application if you do not receive the permit prior to working your first event.

In addition to having an Indiana alcohol permit, stand managers and cashiers must also attend a TIPS training session. If you have already gone through TIPS training and your card has not expired, or if you will not be selling or handling alcohol, TIPS training is not needed. The TIPS training schedule has yet to be announced by the Colts. We will notify volunteers as soon as it becomes available. Needless to say, there are still many things that concession managers at Lucas Oil Stadium are trying to work through as they approach the opening of the new facility. They have asked for our patience as the season unfolds.
